Senior photos are such an exciting milestone, but it can also feel a little overwhelming if you’ve never booked a senior session before. From choosing the right photographer, to knowing what package makes sense and what session day will actually be like, there’s a lot to think about.

That’s why I wanted to put together this Senior Photos 101 guide — a simple, stress-free breakdown of what you should know before booking your senior photos, and how the CWPhotoCo. experience fits into it all.

How to Choose the Right Senior Photographer

The first step to senior photos is choosing a photographer whose work you love — but that’s only part of it. Just as important is choosing someone you feel comfortable with and trust. Senior photos aren’t just about looking good. They’re about feeling confident and relaxed during your session. When you trust your photographer and feel supported, it shows in your smile, posture, and overall energy in photos.

When you book with CWPhotoCo., my goal is to create a senior photography experience that feels easy, guided, and personal. You never have to wonder what to do or how to pose. I’ll walk you through everything so you can focus on enjoying the moment and being yourself.

How to Choose the Right Senior Photo Package

One of the most common questions I get is “Which senior package should I choose?” And the truth is — there’s no wrong choice. The best package is the one that fits you and your needs. When deciding on a senior photo package, think about:

  • How many locations you'd like to include
  • If you want photos during one season or multiple
  • How you want the overall experience to feel

My CWPhotoCo. senior packages are designed to offer flexibility while keeping the process simple and stress free. Whether you want something classic and minimal or a customized year long experience, each package is built to give you guidance, time, and photos you’ll genuinely love.

Planning the Look & Feel of Your Senior Photos

Before your session, it helps to think about the overall vibe you want for your photos. Things like the seasonoutfits, and location all work together to tell your story. Summer sessions feel bright, relaxed, and green, while fall sessions tend to feel comfy cozy. When it comes to outfits, simple and timeless pieces photograph best, and 2–3 outfit changes is usually plenty. Locations can be outdoor, studio, sports photos at your school, or a mix — the best choice is one that feels like you.

If this already feels like a lot, don’t worry. You don’t have to have it all figured out immediately. That’s exactly what I help guide my seniors through. Once these pieces start coming together, having a photographer who helps you feel confident and prepared makes all the difference.

The CWPhotoCo. Senior Experience

Senior photos are about more than just images. They’re about the experience. From planning and styling to session day and beyond, I focus on creating an experience that feels fun, personal, and memorable.

For seniors who want even more connection during their senior year, Club CWP is an extension of that experience. Through styled shoots, social events, and community opportunities, Club CWP gives seniors a chance to celebrate this season of life in a way that goes beyond a single photo session.
